This place is for tougher traveler and for you who are looking for adventure. Accordingly a few recommendations are adviced for you to consider before going; For your own convenience and safety it is advisable that you check all weather and road conditions before your arrival and (if visiting the gorges) please ensure that in the event of adverse weather conditions you take appropriate steps to leave the gorges immediately. Think of that temperatures at Karijini during certain periods can reach in excess of 40 degrees Celsius on a daily basis and that their accommodations are NOT air-conditioned. Deluxe Eco Tents and Dorm Eco Cabins have a fan/natural ventilation only. Some other recommendations are to arrive in either 4WD or AWD vehicles and to use an insect repellant.

When you finally arrive here - Please proceed to the reception area where the friendly staff will attend to your check-in needs and warmly welcome you to the Karijini Eco Retreat. Maps and brochures about local attractions can be found at the information desk. Reception hours : 7am - 9pm between April and October. (7am to 10am and 1pm to 7pm November to March).

Cold drinks, creamy ice-creams, confectionery, tea and coffee are available as well as a range of unique Karijini souvenirs is served in the kiosk, for them who wants something smaller than what is served in the restaurant. For your convenience a limited supply of bread, ice, milk and other groceries are also available for purchase, subject to available supply.

The fully licensed Karijini Eco Retreat - Alfresco Restaurant offers cooked and continental breakfasts, mouth-watering outback-style dinners and packed picnic lunches. Relax with an ice-cold glass of your favourite beverage in our well stocked bar where you can mingle with staff and other guests and share tales of your days adventures! Hot take away meals are available for purchase each night from the retaurant for guests to take back to their tents. As places are limited, dinner must be booked in advance.

For those looking to self-cater, a limited number of free outdoor BBQ areas (Gas barbeques, sinks, preparation areas, seating & tables) are scattered around the retreat. But please note: Open fires are not permitted to be lit in National Parks.

Flushing toilets and solar hot water showers (standard & bag type) are provided in the ablution blocks to service the campsites - these facilities are cleaned daily.  Deluxe Eco Tents  with private ensuite facilities are serviced every 4 days. Please note that due to the use of solar power, they cannot guarantee the provision of hot water and this is controlled by weather conditions

A public payphone is provided for the convenience of guests and is situated adjacent to the managers residence. Charge cards are available for purchase from reception.
