As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, and the same is so very true for Mañana Travel. We are very fortunate for the fantastic help and support we have received from a lot of people during the development of Mañana, and we will continue ask for advice as this is a village that will keep growing! The persons we turn to first and foremost are the following.
Eva Malmström Shivdasani
Entrepreneur and Creative Director Soneva
Eva Malmström is very special to us. Not only because she is gorgeous and kind and does a spectacular job with her own sustainable hotels, that she started with her husband Sonu Shivdasani, but because it was actually an article about her a few years back that planted the seed to what is now Mañana. We reached out to Eva early on and asked her to be our mentor and ever since we have had the fortune to grab her supportive and friendly hand whenever needed.
Entrepreneur and Survivor
Lydia is Zimbabwean and a remarkably strong woman. She grew up in a tiny village without any modern comforts, had four kids before she then kicked out her good-for-nothing (Lydia’s words) husband when she got tired of being the only adult in the family taking any kind of responsibility. Lydia is a doer and has through many different small, community-based ventures always found ways to feed her children and send them to school. Among the many battles Lydia has fought, the toughest was against HIV at a time when medicines were available in Zimbabwe. She survived and is now stronger than ever. Lydia’s insights give us perspective and keep us grounded.

This man knows start-ups and the “kitchen” of Internet like nobody else. When we first met him it was through a shared passion for travel, for the planet and for people. Mike helped us turn our vision into a working business model, without losing the core of our idea - to help the concept of “Green, Fair and Supportive” gain prominence in the travel sector. We can count on Mike to always ask us the hard questions that we need to reflect on. When Mike speaks, we listen.
